国际刑法的历史渊源研究项目由国际法研究与政策中心和世界各地的合作伙伴共同运作。该项目分别在香港（2014年3月1-2日）和新德里（2014年11月29-30日）举办了两次研讨会，会议论文发表在四卷《国际刑法的历史渊源》中。其后第五卷增编至该系列。该系列出版物共有148名作者，131章，4532页，是目前为止最大的国际刑法研究项目。
