Marc Perrin de Brichambaut

Justice Marc Perrin de Brichambaut served as Judge and Vice-President of the International Criminal Court (2015-2024). He was previously the Secretary-General of the Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe. He has also served as Judge of the Conseil d’État and in senior positions in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Ministry of Defence of France, and in the United Nations Secretariat. As the Legal Adviser of the Foreign Ministry, he headed the French delegation in the preparations for and during the Rome Conference, and signed the Rome Statute on behalf of France. He served as Legal Director of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, representing France before the European Court of Human Rights, the United Nations Human Rights Committee, the International Court of Justice and the Court of Justice of the European Union. He graduated from École Normale Supérieure de Saint-Cloud and École Nationale d’Administration.
